Dear Marta,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Please recall, as I do, the powerful mathematical results that you have proven. I remember what a wonderful student you were; it was such a pleasure to teach you.

Your excellent performance makes me wish to collaborate further on Banach spaces; I dream that still stronger results can be based on bornological spaces.

I hope that you can think fondly of your productive career.

I still think about questions, but don’t have the energy to follow through.
